Who we are

Wisdom12 is operated by Mark Taylor. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

We take privacy seriously. Wisdom12 is built around personal, often deeply private stories. We will never sell your data or use it for advertising.

What data we collect

Data you give us:

• Your name, email address, and password (or Google sign-in identity)
• Your profile details: display name, username, location, profile photo
• Content you create: pearls of wisdom, life story entries, photos, links
• People you invite: their names and email addresses
• Payment details (handled entirely by Stripe — we never see your card number)

Data collected automatically:

• Profile view counts (anonymous — we don't track who viewed)
• Basic usage logs (errors, authentication events) via Supabase

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics.

How we use your data

• To provide the service — storing and displaying your legacy
• To send you transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, invite notifications)
• To process your payments via Stripe
• To respond to support requests
• To comply with legal obligations

We will never use your content to train AI models or share it with third parties for marketing.

Who we share data with

We use a small number of trusted services to run Wisdom12:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage. Data is hosted on AWS infrastructure. Supabase privacy policy
• Stripe — payment processing. They handle all card data. Stripe privacy policy
• Google — if you sign in with Google, your basic profile info is shared with us by Google OAuth. Google privacy policy
• Vercel — website hosting. Vercel privacy policy

No one else. We do not sell or share your data with any other party.

Your privacy settings

You control who can see your legacy:

• Private (default) — only people you personally invite can view your profile
• Public — anyone with the link can read your pearls and/or story

You can change these settings at any time from your dashboard.

How long we keep your data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data — profile, content, photos, and invites — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Stripe may retain payment records for longer to comply with financial regulations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate data
• Deletion — delete your account and all data at any time from Settings
• Portability — download your legacy as a PDF from your dashboard
• Objection — object to how we process your data

Children

Wisdom12 is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Security

Your data is stored on Supabase with encryption at rest and in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Photos are stored in private buckets accessible only via time-limited signed URLs.

No system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please email us privately at hello@wisdom12.com rather than posting it publicly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
