Terms of Service

1. What Wisdom12 is

Wisdom12 is a personal legacy platform that lets people record their life story, values, and wisdom to share with the people they love. It is operated by Mark Taylor (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By creating an account or using this service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

2. Your account

• You must be 16 or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
• One person, one account. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their knowledge.

3. Your content

You own everything you write, upload, or share on Wisdom12. By posting content, you give us a limited licence to store and display it as part of the service — nothing more.

You are solely responsible for your content. You agree not to post:

• Hate speech, harassment, or content that targets people based on race, religion, gender, sexuality, or disability
• Sexually explicit or pornographic material
• Content that promotes or glorifies violence or self-harm
• Private information about other people without their consent
• Content that infringes someone else's copyright or intellectual property
• Spam, scams, or anything deliberately misleading

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these rules and to suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly or seriously breach them.

4. Invited users and legacy contacts

When you invite someone to view your profile, you take responsibility for that invitation. Invitees must also comply with these terms. A legacy contact role grants no legal authority — it is a platform-level designation only.

5. Payments

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown in USD. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, but if you have a genuine issue please contact us and we'll do the right thing.

6. Availability and data

We will do our best to keep Wisdom12 running and your data safe. However, we cannot guarantee 100% uptime or that data will never be lost. We strongly recommend downloading a PDF backup of your legacy regularly.

If we ever shut down the service, we will give at least 90 days notice and provide a way for you to export your data.

7. Limitation of liability

Wisdom12 is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or with a notice on the site. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
